Junior year is the most stressful year. Junior year is the year you have stacks of homework for all classes. The year you have no time to party, watch “Novelas”, hanging out with friends etc., because you’re constantly doing school work. Also this is the year where you have to strive for level 4’s and get involved in sports, clubs and activities. A big impact for me was having deadlines. If you don’t have the work completed when it’s due you automatically fall behind pace. As the days pass by it gets harder and harder. From freshman and sophomore year I never pictured junior year like this. This year I’m trying my best to pass all my classes, even though it’s really hard. If it wasn’t for my AVID teacher Mrs. Torres who motivates me and pushes me through everything to get my work done by now I would’ve been failing most of my classes. Another big impact this school year was making better choices and decisions. The hard decisions I had were to sit somewhere where I was going to be successful and achieve my goals. A challenge of my junior year I faced was coming out of my shell. I was shy and didn’t really interact with many people as I do now. My friends don’t plan on going to college or anything after high school which is hard for me to stay on my mindset of going to a university for a better future. A struggle was to stay focused and don’t give up. I think so far these years of high school have been the best if you put all the hard work aside. There have been many activities during the school year. If you don’t make high school fun it isn't going to be fun for you. Always having your mind set to “Si Se Puede” are some words really inspiring to me. It’s hard to believe that next year I’m going to be a senior and sooner than I expect I will be walking down the football field with my cap and gown receiving my diploma. As the months pass by I’m starting to notice hard work is paying off.
